Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Collections Specialist to join a client's team in Texas. This role is crucial in managing a designated portfolio of accounts to recover outstanding balances. The position requires a blend of excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills to successfully manage collections activities.
We are seeking 5+ Collection Specialists on a temp to hire basis for Day Shift 8-5 pm Monday through Friday and Night Shift Monday through Thursday Noon to 9:00 pm and Friday 8 am- 5pm
Responsibilities - Proactive Account Management: Responsible for a portfolio of accounts, organizing, prioritizing, and strategically managing outreach to maximize recovery.
- Customer-Centric Communication: Contact debtors via phone and other communication channels to discuss their accounts, negotiate payment solutions, and resolve outstanding debt professionally and empathetically.
- Negotiation and Problem-Solving: Negotiate payment plans, settlements, or alternative solutions while adhering to company policies and legal regulations.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records using the company database, logging all communication, updating account statuses, and documenting all actions taken to ensure a clear audit trail.
- Compliance and Regulation: Follow all relevant laws and regulations, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA, HIPAA, etc.), to conduct collection activities legally and ethically.
Qualifications - Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a call center environment.
- Previous experience in collections, credit, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Experience with a multi-line phone system (e.g., LiveVox, Noble, Avaya, Genesys, etc.) preferred.
- Proficiency in using a large-scale customer database or CRM (e.g., Salesforce, Oracle, SAP, Columbia Ultimate, etc.) preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to navigate multiple software applications simultaneously.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Languages:
- Bilingual or multi-lingual skills are highly desirable.
Required Work Hours Monday through Friday, first shift.
Benefits Competitive pay with a range of $19.50 to $20.50 per hour.
Additional Details The position requires a high school diploma. The role offers a supportive environment where the Collections Specialist can contribute to the success of the team.
