Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN with at least 18 months of recent permanent specialty experience and a current OH or compact RN license for a night shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift position, working three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Uses telemetry monitoring within medical-surgical patient population
• Floating may be required in accordance with clinical experience
• Timekeeping submitted through Qualivis – Lotus
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment must be passed during orientation with up to two attempts allowed
• PBDS assessment is waived for this assignment
• Modules must be completed pre-start via Silkroad, with annual modules required if on contract for a year
• Badging and onsite fingerprinting are required prior to start date
• Travelers who have ended a contract at this hospital within the past year are not eligible
• This facility accepts local candidates at the same bill rate
• Nurses are currently exempt from nicotine-free requirements at this facility
• Personal air-purifying respirators (PAPRs) are not permitted for caregivers with facial hair, unless an approved medical or religious exemption exists

Requirements

• Active permanent OH or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 18 months recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required and must be active
• One supervisory reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in Med/Surg Tele required
• Negative 10-panel drug screen with nicotine test required within 12 months of start
• No open background check cases or license disciplinary actions will be considered
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Driver’s license and Social Security card are required for consideration
