Job Description

As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Corrections Officer in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. Your role involves conducting regular patrols, responding to incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service and communication to all individuals on site. What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Report and document any suspicious activity, incidents, or security-related concerns according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned location to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
• Assist with emergency response activities as required, including coordination with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary.
• Follow all armed post protocols, including the proper handling and carrying of assigned equipment in compliance with Allied Universal and client policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or possess an equivalent qualification.
• Possess an armed guard card or license as required by applicable regulations.
• Hold a college degree.
• Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Hold a corrections officer license.
• Provide one of the following: DD214 with honorable discharge, associate degree or 60 college credits, police academy certificate, or corrections academy certificate.
• Hold a law enforcement officer license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
