As a Security Guard - Armed Government Site in San Francisco, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more . As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment at a government location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. You will interact with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $31.70 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Tue 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Fri 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Sat 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Sun 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM What You’ll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel. Assist visitors and employees with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a professional presence. Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management. Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered during patrols. Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site-specific policies. What We’re Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: Graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent is required. Must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience, or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience, or 3 or more years of security-related experience. An armed guard card or license is required. A college degree is required. Baton certification is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
