Positions are limited term with the possibility of becoming permanent full time in the future. Limited Term positions are 12 months and may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent.

Position is located at Avenal State Prison in Avenal, CA.

Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. This classification offers a retention bonus. Employees who are employed at Avenal State Prison for 12 consecutive, qualifying pay periods, will receive an annual $2,600 recruitment and retention bonus.

TYPING CERTIFICATE
A Typing Certificate is required and must be submitted with your Employment Application (STD. 678). Applications received without an appropriate Typing Certificate will be rejected for being incomplete and will not be considered. Valid typing certificate with a minimum speed of 40 WPM that meets CalHR Requirements. Candidates that are current State employees in a typing classification DO NOT need to submit a typing certificate.
