Mustang Cat is Hiring: Marketing & Events Specialist - Houston, TX

Mustang Cat is seeking a Marketing & Events Specialist to plan, coordinate, and deliver world-class events, trade shows, and sponsorship activations that showcase our brand, strengthen customer relationships, and support business growth.

What You'll Do

Event Planning & Execution

• Plan and manage events, trade shows, and sponsorship activations across all business divisions.
• Oversee ticket allocation and guest management for major sponsorships (Houston Rodeo, Houston Astros, Houston Texans).
• Support internal ticket processes including giveaways, departmental allocations, and suite guest lists.
• Provide on-site support: setup, hosting, guest experience, and troubleshooting.
• Partner with Sales, Business Development, and Communications teams to ensure events generate leads and strengthen relationships.

Project & Budget Management

• Develop timelines, assign responsibilities, and track event progress.
• Prepare cost estimates, monitor expenses, and manage budgets.
• Deliver post-event reports highlighting results, follow-up, and improvements.

Vendor & Logistics Coordination

• Manage vendor relationships and secure competitive pricing.
• Coordinate logistics: hotel reservations, offsite dinners, shipping, and schedules.
• Maintain organized storage of event displays and promotional materials.

Event Design & Branding

• Design and set up branded booths, suites, and displays.
• Ensure Mustang Cat's brand is consistently represented in every event experience.

Event Portfolio Highlights

• Internal: Anniversary Celebrations, Leadership Summit, Sales Summit, Safety Milestones, Holiday Events.
• External: Grand Openings, Industry Conferences (GMRC, GPA Midstream, IWBS, TAHFM), Tech Wars, Customer Appreciation, Golf & Shooting Tournaments, Economic Summit.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or related field.
• 2+ years of event planning or marketing experience (corporate/B2B preferred).
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with some travel required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; event management software experience a plus.
• Comfortable working outdoors and assisting with hands-on event setup.
