This is a remote position.
As a Data Entry Operator at our treatment facility, you will play a vital role in accurately recording, updating, and maintaining patient, clinical, and operational data. You will support the administrative team by ensuring that data from admissions, treatment services, discharge summaries and billing is entered promptly and correctly. Your work helps support smooth operations, regulatory compliance and timely decision-making by clinical leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Enter numeric and alphanumeric data from intake forms, treatment logs, service sheets, discharge summaries and other source documents into the electronic records system.
Review incoming documentation for completeness and accuracy before data entry; identify missing or ambiguous fields and collaborate with staff to clarify.
Maintain and update filing systems (digital and/or physical), ensuring records are accessible, organized and archived as required.
Generate routine reports summarizing entry volumes, error rates, and backlog status; escalate issues to the supervisor when necessary.
Support other administrative duties as needed: scanning documents, preparing patient charts for review, assisting with auditor requests for data records.
Protect confidentiality of patient and operational data by following facility protocols for data security, HIPAA compliance, and controlled access.

Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree or coursework in office technology, medical records, or data management preferred.
Strong typing and data-entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and comfortable learning new databases or records systems.
Good organizational and time-management skills; able to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
Ability to communicate clearly with clinical, treatment and administrative staff to resolve data discrepancies or gather missing information.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and work within a fast-paced, regulated healthcare environment.
Prior experience in healthcare, billing, medical records or behavioral-health environment is a plus, but not strictly required.
