Job Title: Chief Financial Officer / Chief Operating Officer

Position Summary

The CFO/COO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for guiding the bank’s financial strategy and ensuring operational excellence. This individual will oversee financial management and reporting functions, with particular emphasis on regulatory reporting to the Federal Reserve and other agencies, while also providing leadership across deposit and treasury operations.

Depending on the candidate’s background, the role will carry either the Chief Financial Officer or Chief Operating Officer title, with the opportunity to shape both financial performance and operational execution at the bank.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the bank’s financial management, including regulatory and compliance reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and balance sheet oversight.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant reporting to the Federal Reserve and other regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee deposit operations and treasury functions, ensuring processes support both risk management and client service.
  • Provide leadership across broader bank operations, including coordination with lending, credit, and back-office teams.
  • Partner with the CEO and executive team to shape strategic direction, growth initiatives, and performance metrics.
  • Drive efficiency in processes, systems, and reporting while maintaining a culture of accountability and transparency.
  • Mentor and develop staff, cultivating talent within both finance and operations functions.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in banking finance/operations leadership roles.
  • Strong expertise in regulatory reporting, compliance, and financial analysis at the bank level.
  • Proven experience in deposit operations; exposure to loan operations is a plus but not the focus.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance financial oversight and operational leadership.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a track record of working effectively across departments and with regulators.
  • Community or regional bank background strongly preferred.
